Portfolio > Figures and Portraits

Figures and portraits are my favorite subjects to render in mosaics. They are also the most challenging. I enjoy the challenge of turning hard and angular materials into the soft forms of face and skin. I find the feminine form, along with flora and fauna, to be among nature's most beautiful creations. I often incorporate flowers and other organic forms to complement the grace of the feminine shape. I have turned several Gustav Klimt portraits into mosaics, using his divine designs as inspiration and experimentation. I am always experimenting with new materials, styles and subject matters in my constant quest to discover the core of my personal style.
